Hair Transplant Instruments
BusinessMed® Hair Transplant Instruments cover each step of follicular unit extraction (FUE) and direct hair implantation (DHI): a needleless anesthesia device, serrated FUE punches that score each follicular unit, graft forceps that lift and sort the grafts, a hair implanter that places them, and the boxes and trays that hold the set through sterilization.

Hair transplant instruments by step
Anesthesia
The needleless anesthesia device is a jet injector: it releases a small dose of local anesthetic at high pressure through the skin surface, as a first anesthesia step for the donor and recipient areas.
Extraction: FUE punches
Each FUE punch is defined by its tip diameter and tip length. The serrated FUE punch has a serrated cutting edge and comes in diameters from 0.7 to 1.3 mm.
Extraction and handling: graft forceps
Graft forceps lift each follicular unit after the punch has scored it and move grafts to holding solution: Adson extracting forceps, serrated for grafts that slip, the non-serrated version for fragile grafts, the horizontal serrated, the curved graft forceps and the diamond-dusted Foerster forceps.
Implantation
The hair implanter is a Choi-type DHI implanter with a hollow needle: it places each graft directly, controlling angle, depth and direction without recipient incisions made first.
Instrument care
The aluminum sterilization box, the perforated instrument box and the surgical instrument tray hold the fine set through autoclaving, storage and the procedure.
How to choose hair transplant tools
- Technique. FUE extraction needs punches and graft forceps; DHI adds an implanter.
- Punch. Choose the tip diameter and length on the punch page; punch edges are made sharp, blunt, hybrid and serrated, and ours are serrated.
- Forceps tips. Serrated tips grip wet or resisting grafts; smooth tips spread pressure for fragile grafts.
- Care. A perforated box lets steam circulate and water drain; the aluminum box is light.
What are hair transplant instruments used for?
Scalp hair restoration by FUE and DHI — anesthesia of the donor and recipient areas, extraction of follicular units from the scalp and from beard or body donor areas, graft handling and sorting, hairline and dense-packing implantation — and keeping the set organized for sterilization. Each hair transplant instrument page lists its own sizes; for micro punch hair transplant work, the punch diameters start at 0.7 mm, and all FUE instruments here are reusable.
How BusinessMed hair transplant instruments are made
Punches, forceps and implanters are German stainless steel with a satin, non-reflective finish; the box is aluminum and the tray stainless steel. Reusable, autoclavable and covered by a 5-year warranty.
