ENT Instruments Sets

BusinessMed® ENT Instruments Sets group the ENT surgery instruments of one ear, nose, throat or neck operation in a single order. The range covers ear sets for tympanoplasty and mastoid surgery, nasal and sinus sets, tonsil and adenoid sets, rigid bronchoscopy, esophagoscopy and microlaryngeal sets, and tracheostomy and thyroidectomy sets; every set page lists its instruments in a contents table.

How to choose an ENT kit

  • Match the operation. Each set is built around one procedure; the set name says which.
  • Endoscopic or open. The FESS set works under an endoscope; rigid bronchoscopy and esophagoscopy sets carry their own tubes; the other ENT kits are open-surgery sets.
  • Contents. Compare each contents table with your own count sheet; the piece count is computed from that list.
  • Single ENT surgical tools. Single forceps, specula and elevators are in the Plastic Surgery Instruments categories.

What are ENT instrument sets used for?

  • Ear: lifting the tympanomeatal flap, placing a graft under the eardrum, and exposing the mastoid before the air cells are opened.
  • Nose and sinus: widening the maxillary sinus opening, removing ethmoid partitions, and removing deviated septal cartilage and bone.
  • Throat and airway: removing tonsils and adenoids, microlaryngeal surgery on vocal cord lesions, removing inhaled or swallowed foreign bodies, and opening the trachea for a tube.
  • Neck and jaw: thyroid exposure and vessel control; sagittal split and Le Fort I osteotomy.

Scopes, light cords and any other ENT surgery equipment in a set are named in its contents table.

How BusinessMed surgery sets are made

The instruments in each set are German stainless steel, reusable and autoclavable, with a 5-year warranty; any non-steel part or case is named on the set page.
