Nasal chisel vs nasal osteotome force vector distinction

A nasal chisel uses a single flat bevel that concentrates the cutting vector on one side of the blade, producing a directed shear cut. A nasal osteotome uses a double bevel that distributes force bilaterally, creating a controlled fracture plane. These are different mechanisms requiring different technique — not interchangeable for the same procedural step.
